Introduction
One of the closest lodges to the V&A Waterfront, Big Blue is a spacious
(and we mean spacious) place. Thanks to its generous proportions, social and
sleeping areas don't overlap so party animals and slumberers alike can find
their own balance. When you're not checking out Cape Town's nightlife (which
we know you will), knock back a few drinks at the bar and glean some handy travel
tips.
We'll pick you up from the airport free of charge, 24 hours a day - 7 days a week. Conditions apply....
- A minimum stay of 3 nights for a FREE pick-up.
- If your stay does not qualify you for the FREE pick-up, we will be happy to arrange an airport shuttle at backpacker prices on your behalf. Trips to the airport are for your account and reception will book it on your behalf.
Being one of the bigger lodges in town, we have loads of en-suite doubles, singles, private double rooms with shared bathrooms and dorms.
Big Blue Backpackers is a 5 minute walk from the V&A Waterfront at the foothills of Signal Hill. Local restaurants and pubs are a 2 minute walk away. The beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay are a short bus ride away.

Dive
with us to discover the rugged world beneath the waves - huge boulders
and overhang caves, swaying kelp forests, walls of coral in bright colours
and spectacular reef life. Interesting wreck dives can be reached via
boat or from the shore and it's fun to snorkel with the playful seals
near Duiker Island.

We are at No 7 Vesperdene Road - Greenpoint, just off main road - on the bus and mini taxi route between the city center and the beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton. We are a 10 minute safe walk from the World renowned V&A Waterfront with its 200+ shops pubs and restaurants, banks and the VAT return desk.
Airport Directions
We'll pick you up free of charge (24 hrs. per day, 7 days per week) from the airport. Conditions below.
